A: We take a highly collaborative approach. In the initial intake session, you will have the opportunity to share what led you to reach out for therapy. You’ll also be asked a variety of questions about your history (e.g., family, psychiatric, medical) to inform a broad picture of you. Within the first few sessions, Dr. Paris will provide recommended options for treatment and help you develop targeted goals which are often virtue-based and situated within your unique vocational context. Dr. Paris views the therapeutic relationship itself as an integral aspect of change, though he also incorporates tools such as experiential exercises, homework, and in-session skill practice to the extent that they are helpful for each particular client.

We are happy to provide you with a monthly Superbill (receipt for services) which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. You are encouraged to check the details of your specific health insurance plan to determine your out-of-network benefits.
