Daniel Paris, Psy.D., M.A. is a licensed clinical psychologist (VA) and the Founder and Clinical Director of Camino Psychological and Consulting Services, LLC.

Dr. Paris provides psychotherapy services to adults experiencing a wide variety of challenges. He specializes in trauma-focused modalities (EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy) and particularly enjoys working with young adults as well as couples seeking to deepen their marital bond. Dr. Paris has experience working in a variety of settings including private practice, community mental health agencies, university counseling centers, psychiatric hospitals, and employee assistance programs within the U.S. intelligence community. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Gulf Coast VA Medical Center in Biloxi, MS., where he rotated in residential PTSD, behavioral medicine, acute inpatient, and general mental health outpatient programs.

Dr. Paris is deeply committed to the integration of a Catholic vision of the person with mental health treatment. In addition to masters and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from Divine Mercy University, he also holds a masters in theology from the Augustine Institute and has over a decade of experience in the formation of Catholic missionaries with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS). Though he never imposes his beliefs, he is happy to discuss issues of faith with those who desire it. Dr. Paris is an approved Catholic mental health provider for the diocese of Arlington, Virginia and is a member of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association.

• Adjunct Professor in Divine Mercy University’s Institute for the Psychological Sciences Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program

• Adjunct Professor in Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota’s Masters in Psychology Program

• Clinical Psychologist at Ashburn Psychological and Psychiatric Services

Dr. Paris is also a husband and proud father of three young sons. He hiked the Camino Francés in 2014 and hopes to return one day with his family in tow.
